February 26, 2013 -- Patients with heart disease who reside in Passaic County and surrounding localities in Bergen County now have easier access to Valley Health System’s award-winning cardiac care with the System’s acquisition of the Cardiology Center of North Jersey, based in Clifton.
The Cardiology Center of North Jersey is now part of Valley Medical Group, which comprises physicians practicing in a wide variety of specialties at Valley locations and community-based practices. Valley Medical Group (VMG), The Valley Hospital, and Valley Home Care make up Valley Health System. Valley’s recognition as an award-wining provider of cardiac care includes being ranked #1 in New Jersey for overall cardiac services for 2013 by HealthGrades®, considered by many to be the nation’s leading healthcare ratings organization.
VMG brings together Valley-employed physicians based at the hospital, the Luckow Pavilion in Paramus, other outpatient facilities, seven Valley Health Medical Group sites, and medical practices throughout the community.
Four board-certified cardiologists are in practice at the office located at 1030 Clifton Avenue: Elliot Brown, M.D.; Edward Julie, M.D.; Bruce Skolnik, M.D.; and Mark Teicher, M.D. They specialize in non-invasive and invasive cardiology; all are fellows of the American College of Cardiology.
“Our patients will continue to experience the compassionate, dedicated cardiac care that we have practiced as a group over the past 30 years, combined with seamless access to all of Valley’s state-of-the-art services,” says Dr. Julie.
