Obesity Surgery Support Group to Meet April 1
The next meeting of the Obesity Surgery Support Group, sponsored by The Center for Obesity Surgery at The Valley Hospital, will be Thursday, April 1 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Valley’s Kraft Center at 15 Essex Road, Paramus. Following the meeting, patients who have had surgery stay and share their personal experiences and answer questions for anyone who is considering having the surgery.

Heart to Heart Support Group Set for April 20
The Valley Hospital offers a monthly educational and support program for heart patients and their families. The program is held the third Tuesday of each month from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Dorothy B. Kraft Center, 15 Essex Road, Paramus. The next meeting is scheduled on April 20.

The Valley Hospital’s Center for Obesity Surgery is offering a free program entitled “All About Obesity Surgery.” The program will be presented by bariatric surgeon Daniel Davis, D.O. Babysitters’ Class Set for April 14
The Valley Hospital Center for Women, Children and Family Education is offering a Babysitters Preparation class on Wednesday, April 14 from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. This class gives caregivers the necessary information they need to safely care for a child. Topics to be presented include feeding, holding and changing a baby; infant safety concerns; and where and how to contact the police, parents, pediatrician, poison control centers, and other emergency personnel.

This one-session class will discuss the topic of cord blood banking, which is the collection and storage of the stem cells found in your newborn’s umbilical cord.
