The Valley Hospital is Now Participating in a Clinical Trial Studying Personalized Vaccine for Treating a Common Form of Brain Tumor
The Valley Hospital is now offering patients with newly diagnosed glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) (brain tumor) the opportunity to take part in a clinical trial that produces and uses a vaccine produced from patients’ own tissue. The study is being conducted to learn if it can improve the outcome for patients in the fight against this aggressive and deadly form of brain cancer.

Support Group for Cancer Survivors to be Held February 27
This support group is open to cancer survivors who are one month to two years post-cancer treatment, and currently have no evidence of disease. The group meets every fourth Monday of the month from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at The Valley Hospital’s Luckow Pavilion, One Valley Health Plaza in Paramus in the first floor resource room.

Mahwah Resident Sees Years of Facial Pain Relieved in Hours at Valley Hospital’s Gamma Knife Center
Elizabeth (Betty) Paton first began experiencing severe facial pain eight years ago, following a dental procedure. After numerous unsuccessful attempts to relieve her pain through dental and oral surgical procedures, Betty, a resident of Mahwah, was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia, a chronic pain condition affecting the nerve that carries sensation from the face to the brain.
