Ara Ajemian, M.D., is a board-certified family practitioner at the Montvale Center. Dr. Ajemian joins two full-time board-certified physicians and several part-time physicians at the medical practice.
Located at 85 Chestnut Ridge Road in Montvale, Valley Medical Group provides comprehensive primary, preventive, urgent, and occupational health services for patients of all ages. The practice recently celebrated its 20th year of caring for the medical needs of the community.
Prior to coming to Valley Medical Group, Dr. Ajemian was in practice in Colorado in a variety of positions since 1998. He was a family physician at Prairie View Clinic and Cheyenne Manor Nursing Home, both in Cheyenne Wells; public health officer and physician advisor to the Public Health Office in Cheyenne Wells; and a clinical instructor and preceptor of medical students at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. He was also on the staff of Keefe Memorial Hospital in Cheyenne Wells and was chief of staff of the hospital from 2001 to 2003.
Dr. Ajemian received his medical degree from and completed a family practice internship at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. He completed his family practice residency and was chief resident at Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
As medical director of Valley Medical Group in Montvale, Dr. Ajemian oversees the practice's comprehensive services. He and his full-time colleague, family practitioner Michael Kaczor, M.D., diagnose and treat urgent and chronic illnesses and provide preventive and primary care, including physical exams, screenings for cancer and other diseases, gynecologic well-care, and immunizations. Patients with minor injuries - such as burns, cuts, fractures, strains, or sprains - can be treated on site.
Many businesses, both large and small, contract with Valley Medical Group in Montvale for comprehensive occupational health services, including physical exams, injury care, drug screenings, and alcohol breath tests.
Travel medicine services are also provided and can help patients prepare for business or pleasure trips. A doctor will review a patient's itinerary and advise him/her on what immunizations are needed, what medications the patient should take, and what situations the patient could encounter that could affect his/her health, such as food, water, climate, and accommodations.
Testing is available at Valley Medical Group, including blood tests, urinalysis, electrocardiograms (EKGs), hemoccult, finger stick glucose, rapid strep tests, and X-rays. The practice accepts Medicare and most major health insurance plans.
Valley Medical Group in Montvale is open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas.
