Visiting Hours


 

The Valley Hospital's Patient and Family Centered Care approach welcomes families as vital participants in a patient’s care. A family member/Partner in Care, as defined by the patient, is welcome at the patient’s bedside 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Our staff will work with you and your loved one to support care choices, and ensure comfort, health, safety, quality care, privacy and confidentiality.   

Visiting Guidelines

Respecting the privacy, comfort and rest needs of all patients is a high priority. To help guide you through your loved one’s stay at the hospital, please review the following:   

  • You may enter the hospital through the main lobby 24 hours a day. From 5 a.m. through 8 p.m., the doors will be open. At all other times, a security officer will grant you access and confirm your visit with the patient. Upon entrance, you will receive a guest badge. Please ensure your badge is visible at all times.    
  • Quiet time, designated between the hours of 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. every day, will be observed to promote a restful healing environment for patients. This is accomplished by lowering the level of light on the unit, reducing noise and limiting disruptions by staff and family/Partners in Care. While specific units may add additional designated quiet times, patient preferences will be taken into consideration whenever possible.    
  • You are welcome to visit Kurth Cottage Café to purchase a healthy meal or snack. The Café  is located on the first floor of the Phillips Wing, and is in operation Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. There are also several vending machines throughout the hospital for snacks and beverages. Please ask a member of our staff for the location of the closest vending machine.   
  • You may also visit Kurth Cottage Gift Shop to purchase personal hygiene items, magazines and snacks. The Gift Shop is next door to Kurth Cottage Café on the first floor of the Phillips Wing.   

Complimentary Communication Services

Patients at Valley will receive complimentary communication services during their stay.  This includes free TV, phone, internet, and WIFI access. 


Free Valet Parking

Free valet parking is available at our Main Entrance, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. (After hours, keys can be retrieved at the Security Office). Free valet parking is available at our Emergency Department, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. until 12 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. (After hours, keys can be retrieved at the ED Registration Desk).


Valley is Smoke-Free

Smoking is not permitted at any location at any time. If you're ready to quit and would like help, please reach out to our Tobacco Education and Treatment Program.
