Auxiliary Holds Annual Golf Outing
The Auxiliary held its annual golf outing on Monday, June 9th at the Ridgewood Country Club with American Express Company as their Signature Sponsor. The event was sold out with 192 golfers who enjoyed the beautiful weather and great golf. Guest speaker was Jim Burt, former football player for the NY Giants and the San Francisco 49ers.The event helped raise over $97,000. Jeff Lieto and Ron Krych were co-chairs for the fundraiser.

"Today" Co-Host Guest Speaker at Annual Meeting
The Auxiliary held its Annual Meeting and Luncheon on Friday, June 13, at the Ridgewood Country Club. The new officers and executive committee were installed for the years 2008-2009. Sue Kelly was installed as incoming President. The guest speaker was Hoda Kotb of NBC's Today Show. Nancy Bush, outgoing President, presented a check for $210,000 to the Foundation, which represented a fiscal yearend donation from The Valley Hospital Auxiliary. The balance on the $2,000,000 pledge is down to approximately $730,000!!

Your tax deductible donation will benefit The Valley Hospital Auxiliary's $2 million dollar pledge to The Valley Hospital. The funds will go towards the purchase of a 64-slice CT Scanner, the expansion of the Inpatient Pediatric Unit, the creation of a special Women's Health Unit and program support for the Butterflies Hospice Program.

The 2009 Valley Hospital Journal
The Valley Hospital Auxiliary is now putting together The 2009 Valley Hospital Journal. The Journal is one of our Valley Days fundraisers, worked on collectively by our sixteen Branches in the towns surrounding The Valley Hospital. Our journal has been done each year for over 25 years. The Journal is distributed at all of our major fund- raising events, at our annual luncheon in June, in the visitor areas of The Valley Hospital, at Kurth Cafe and Gift Shop and given to every new trustee as well as new volunteers.
