The field of surgery has expanded to include minimally invasive techniques, which allow for certain procedures to be performed using special instruments and videoscopes inserted through small surgical incisions. The Valley Hospital is proud to offer the community the da Vinci Surgical System which gives surgeons the use of robotic technology to perform surgery.

Valley's Center for Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery is led by Director Anusak Yiengpruksawan, M.D. From 1991 to 1995, Dr. Yieng was Chief of the Division of Surgical Oncology and Director of the Endoscopic Ultrasound Lab at the New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn. Since joining the medical staff of Valley in 1995, Dr. Yieng has expanded the Division of Surgical Oncology include the latest technology and techniques in minimally invasive and robotic surgery.
