Falls Prevention Program: Your Safety is Our Priority

At The Valley Hospital, we understand that hospitalization can be an overwhelming experience. Patients can become weakened and even disoriented during a hospital stay, putting them at risk for falling. Your safety is our priority. We want you to always feel safe and secure. It is our goal to prevent you from falling and/or injuring yourself while in the hospital.

If a patient does fall in the hospital we have a team of specially trained nurses who are trained to come to the unit, interview the staff and patient to find out what happened and how to prevent the fall from happening again. Recommendations are made and a plan is put into place immediately with all parties present.

Additional information on the steps Valley takes to reduce the likelihood of falls is provided to all patients who are admitted.
