Pharmacy Practice Residency Program Overview

The Valley Hospital Pharmacy Practice Residency program is designed to develop the skills and confidence required for providing contemporary pharmaceutical care in a diverse population of patients. As a large community hospital, The Valley Hospital affords unique opportunities for the resident to work collaboratively with a variety of healthcare professionals, in both the acute care and ambulatory arena, to solve complex medication-related issues presented in health care today.

The Valley Hospital residency is a 12-month accredited program designed around the ASHP Residency Learning System model. We are proud to have been involved in pharmacy residency training since 1972. Our graduating residents are well-prepared to pursue specialty residencies and advanced patient care positions. The Valley Hospital currently offers two PGY1 positions.
