Dr. Lee specializes in treating children and teens with type 1 and type 2 diabetes; pituitary, thyroid, and adrenal disorders; puberty issues; menstrual disorders; short stature; obesity; and other problems of the endocrine glands and the hormones they secrete.
Dr. Lee graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a bachelor of arts degree in biology from Carleton College in Minnesota. She received her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. At Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in New York City, she completed her internship, residency in pediatrics, and fellowships in pediatric pain services and endocrinology. Dr. Lee is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology. She is a member of the Endocrine Society and the Lawson Wilkins Pediatric Endocrine Society.
Dr. Lee has conducted clinical and basic research in pediatric pain medicine and in diabetes and obesity. Her research has been presented at numerous scientific meetings. She has received several awards and grants, including the Presidential Poster Award at the 91st Endocrine Society Meeting and travel grants from the Endocrine Society and the Lawson Wilkins Pediatric Endocrine Society.
