Cavernous Malformations

The Valley Hospital neurointerventional experts have the training, expertise and technology to treat Cavernous malformations. This condition can be detected and diagnosed with the help of neuroimaging and Valley’s Cerebral Angiogram.

Cavernous malformations are blood vessels that have been abnormally-formed on the brain or spinal cord. These malformations can be hereditary or occur on their own. Cavernous malformations may leak blood, causing a brain bleed or hemorrhage.

Symptoms include facial numbness, weakness or numbness in the arm or leg, unsteadiness, vision loss or double vision, and problems speaking or swallowing.
