Third Party Services

Gestational Carrier Services

You may have been informed by your physician that you will need the services of a gestational carrier to carry your baby.

The Valley Hospital Fertility Center (VHFC) works with agencies and attorneys to assist you in finding that special woman to become your carrier. The physicians and Third Party Nurse Coordinator will help you navigate this process every step of the way. Your gestational carrier will be thoroughly screened for all infectious diseases by your physician and take part in a psychological evaluation – all before you are given the green light to proceed.

Once your gestational carrier has been approved medically, you will need to complete your legal contracts. Without exception, the executed legal contract will need to be delivered to us before you, or your gestational carrier, can start your cycle.

You will also meet with one of billing coordinators to discuss all the costs involved with your cycle. We understand that every cycle is different, therefore, you financial plan will be designed especially for you, with the understanding that all out-of-pocket costs are due prior to the start of your treatment cycle.

For questions and additional information, please contact our Third Party Nurse Coordinator, Carol Zollinger, RN, BSN, at 201-634-5514.

Ovum Donor Services

The Valley Hospital Fertility Center (VHFC) offers Ovum Donation coordination services for those couples in need of donor oocytes. By using oocytes provided by donors, many women who don’t have functioning ovaries are able to experience pregnancy and childbirth. Oocyte donation is also a good option for women who may be at risk of passing on a genetic condition.

Our Third Party Nurse Coordinator can assist you in identifying a donor either by a commercial agency or by a known donor identified by the patient (family member, friend). All donors must undergo an extensive screening process including a review of the donor’s medical and family history, screening for genetic conditions and infectious diseases, and psychological testing. Testing the donor’s ovarian function is an important part of the screening process as well. You will also have the opportunity to meet with one of our billing coordinators to discuss all the costs involved with your cycle.

We look forward to the opportunity to provide excellent service and care as you proceed through the fertility journey.
